Why the Norwegian Krone Is the World's Safest Currency

Investors keen to protect their precious cash have sought security in all the usual places in recent months. The U.S. dollar, the Swiss franc and the Japanese yen — each with a history as a safe haven — have all provided homes for nervous depositors' cash. But as the economies of those three countries flounder, it's time to look around, and smart investors think they've discovered a new harbor to protect them from the choppy economic seas. "The best safe haven currency," analysts at banking giant HSBC wrote in a research note this month, is Norway's. According to HSBC's reading, right now the Norwegian krone is "probably the best currency in the world."



That's quite some claim. Currently at its strongest against the dollar and euro since last fall, the krone is set for a "sustained appreciation" over the next year and a half, according to HSBC. The main reason: Norway's budget and current-account surpluses are the biggest among nations with the 10 most traded currencies. Factor in the country's $350 billion sovereign wealth fund pumped full of the country's oil revenues, and the cost of insuring against government default in Norway — a key measure of a currency's safety — is the lowest of those countries. With Norway's output expected to shrink by a modest 1.2% this year, far less than in most of the world's leading economies, the krone, HSBC said, represents "the ultimate safe haven." There's little doubt the coin is in good shape. A series of interest rate cuts in recent months "are starting to work in a way they aren't in other economies," says Dale Thomas, head of currency management at London's Insight Investment Management. That makes it unlikely Norway's central bank will need to revert to quantitative easing, the modern-day equivalent of printing money that's currently in fashion from the U.S. to the U.K. (See pictures of the printing of money.)
But the krone's strengths also reflect the current weaknesses of rival currencies. The yen and the Swiss franc had been doing pretty well amid the chaos. The Japanese currency, for instance, rose more than a fifth against the dollar in the last four months of 2008, as previously big-spending investors cashed in risky assets overseas and brought their earnings home. But that's changing. Japan's economy is in freefall. In its latest assessment of the global economy published March 19, the International Monetary Fund forecast the country's output shrinking by 5.8% this year, much more than in the U.S. or eurozone. With interest rates close to zero for months now, there's speculation Japan could intervene to weaken the yen in order to help stoke its all-important export sector.
Switzerland's one step further along. In an effort to fend off the threat of deflation, the Swiss National Bank announced March 12 it would dump francs in the first such move by a major central bank for years. The move was enough to cut 3% off the currency's value against the euro; since then, the franc's fallen further still. Even the greenback, which rallied in recent months, stands at its lowest level against the euro since early January following the Fed's announcement last week that it would spend some $1.2 trillion on government and mortgage bonds, flooding the markets with dollars.
So while the krone looks attractive in comparison, it's worth remembering that "at the moment, the currency markets are an ugly contest," says Thomas. "Pretty much everywhere looks not great." Moreover, he says, while Switzerland boasts a powerful banking sector with experience of taking in floods of cash, "Norway doesn't have that financial infrastructure. And there's no bond market to speak of." That means that while "it's a nice currency to be invested in, from a practical perspective, of someone who has a huge pot of money and wants a safe haven, they just couldn't put it all in Norway," according to Thomas. "The economy's not set up to be a safe haven." Perhaps it's back to stashing cash under the mattress.

Role of Israel In Indo Pak War 1971

India may not have had diplomatic ties with Israel but New Delhi quietly sought and got arms from Tel Aviv as it prepared to go to war with Pakistan in 1971, a book has revealed.
The book, 1971, by scholar Srinath Raghavan offers fresh insights into the 14-day war that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Raghavan accessed the PN Haksar papers maintained at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library in New Delhi. These papers document startling aspects of a war that is probably India’s finest military moment but has not been documented adequately. A diplomat, Haksar was also an adviser to the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Raghavan’s research reveals that India’s ambassador to France DN Chatterjee began the process to get Israeli arms with a note to the external affairs ministry on July 6, 1971, saying assistance from Israel for “propaganda, finance and even procurement of armament and oil” would be “invaluable”.

Gandhi immediately accepted the proposal and through the country’s external intelligence agency R&AW began the process to get the arms through the tiny principality of Liechtenstein.



India didn’t have diplomatic ties with Israel at that time, having voted against its creation in 1948, and consistently supported the Arabs in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Israel was in middle of an arms shortage but prime minister Golda Meir stepped in to divert arms meant for Iran to India. She sent a note addressed to Gandhi in Hebrew through Shlomo Zabuldowicz, the director of the firm handling the secret transfers, with a request for diplomatic ties in return for arms. The diplomatic ties, however, could only be established in 1992 when Narasimha Rao was the Indian PM.
Another note -- from then R&AW chief RN Kao on August 4, 1971 to Haksar — also finds mention in Raghavan’s book. The note detailed how the arms would be airlifted with a batch of Israeli instructors. The arms would eventually land up with the Indian Army and the Mukti Bahini, the guerilla force of Bengalis who would force the Pakistanis to surrender.
Other revelations in the book include a secret agreement between Iran and Pakistan to give air cover to Karachi in case of an Indian attack. But the Shah of Iran reneged on the agreement, fearing retaliation from the Soviet Union.
Interestingly, while Gandhi was worried about Chinese intervention, the then charge de affairs of the Indian embassy, Brajesh Mishra, who would go on to be the national security adviser in the Vajpayee government, sent an authoritative assessment that China would stay out of the war.
Finally, the US move to send in the seventh fleet to “intimidate” India proved counter-productive. As soon as the American ships arrived, India decided to step up the offensive and para-dropped troops in Tangail to make a dash for Dhaka. As the capital fell, India forced a surrender before any international power could intervene.

मैं भारत का एक नागरिक होने के अधिकार से आपसे यह प्राथना करता हूँ की दवाओं के मूल्य में दवा व्यापारियों व् कम्पनीज द्वारा की जा रही मनमानी वृद्धि को रोकने के लिये इनके वास्तविक दाम ऑनलाइन कर दिए जाये . अवं डॉक्टर्स को भी भारत सरकार द्वारा आदेशित किया जाये की वो जान बोझ कर मरीजो को महंगी दवाये ना लिखे ,चुकी दवा कम्पनीज डॉक्टर्स को अलग से मुनाफा देकर उनसे महंगी दवाये लिखवाती है जिसका सबसे ज्यादा असर गरीबो पर व् मधध्यम  वर्गीय परिवारों पर पड़ता है, चूँकि ये लोग सबसे संवेदनशील होते है और शिक्षा के ,खासकर अंग्रेजी में इतने निपुण नहीं होते हैं की दवाओं के नामो को भी पढ़ सके. अतः मेरा आपसे अनुरोध है की दवा कम्पनीज को कहा जाये की वो अपनी दावा का नाम हिंदी और इंग्लिश दोनों भाषाओ में लिख कर दे ताकि हर आम भारतीय उसे पढ़ सके और समझ सके तथा अंग्रेजी की आड़ में की जाने वाली धोखेधडी से बच सके .

Difference between Terrorist and Martyr...

ANGOLA

The African nation of Angola has reportedly become the first country to ban Islam and Muslims, reports On Islam.
Concerning the ban, Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos said Sunday:
“this is the final end of Islamic influence in our country.”

Angola’s ban was first announced when Angolan Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva said:
“the process of legalization of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human rights, their mosques would be closed until further notice.”


Silva reportedly said the ban was necessary since Islam is “contradictory to the customs of Angola culture and IT’S A SECT”.
Angola’s population of 16 million is predominantly Christian, with only 80,000-90,000 Muslims, the majority of whom are migrants from West Africa and families of Lebanese origin, according to the US State Department.
The crackdown on Islam comes as Christians in the Middle East are being forced out from Muslim countries.

Countries around the world are taking preventative measures in an attempt to lower the chances of another radical Islamist terror attack taking place like the ones that claimed the lives of a dozen people in Paris,  3 people in Sydney, not to mention the thousands of Muslim terror attacks around the world, since 9/11.
Top Right News reported on how Norway has started deporting radical Muslims – which has resulted in a stunning 31% reducation in crime.
But even as the United States has done almost nothing to mitigate an attack on U.S. soil,  countries like China have taken multiple steps to prevent attacks in their homeland.
So what is China doing? It’s declaring an all-out war to make sure Islam doesn’t take over, and never gains the strength to attack them. These new measures include:
– Female head-coverings are banned. Period. 
Chinese legislators have repeatedly said that burqas “are not a national dress of Muslims.” And indeed, there is nothing in the Koran that mandates this. They’re justifying their new ban based on several other countries who have enacted similar bans, like Belgium and France, based on public safety concern.
– Men are discouraged from growing long beards
– Men with long beards are banned from riding public buses.
Chinese have suffered numerous terrorist attacks from both Muslim men with long beards, and also women  — and men in disguise — wearing burquas that obscure both their appearance and suicide belts.

– Islamic restaurants are mandated to sell cigarettes and alcohol.
– And they must display them prominently. Any business owner who does not follow this order…will lose their business. Period.
The Koran calls the use of “intoxicants” sinful, while some Muslim religious leaders have also forbidden smoking. Some non-Muslim customers have been assaulted for even asking for these items in Muslim restaurants, or for merely requesting pork in a meal.
China is simply not tolerating Islam at all. They have seen what’s happening to the West. It sees what happened in France, throughout the European world, in Boston and even in Texas. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! They see it, and they’ve decided to stop any kind of political Islamic plague before it grows out of control.
It is very sad to say that Communist China actually learns its lessons, while we put our heads in the sand. It realizes, ‘Hey, Islam wants destroy us,’  and that Islam is political in nature, not just religious.
Over here, we kowtow to the fraud of “Islamophobia” and even some FoxNews stars disgraced themselves by defending Islamic radicals and attacking “Draw Mohammad” sponsor Pamela Geller for daring to “insult the prophet.”
There is no question that Communism is horrible, and China is a piss-poor example of general tolerance of human rights. However, after seeing the butchery of Islamic terrorism, both at home and in the West, they at least want to survive, by keeping a lid on Islam before it expands out of control.

पाकिस्तानी प्रधानमंत्री के कार्यालय ने चरमपंथी संगठन हिज़्बुल मुजाहिदीन के कमांडर बुरहान वानी के मारे जाने पर कहा है कि प्रधानमंत्री को इससे 'गहरा सदमा' लगा है. उन्होंने वानी को 'कश्मीरी नेता' बताया है.
कमाल की बात है जिन्हे हमारी सरकार आतंकी कहती है  उन्हें पाकिस्तान का प्रधानमंत्री नेता कहता है , शायद पेशावर में हुए 125 मासूमो के क़त्ल करने वाले को भी ये नेता ही समझेगा??
 
क्या कोई नेता हाथ में a k 47 लेकर जनता को भाषण देता है ,अगर ऐसे ही लोगो को नेता मन गया तो फिर आतंकवादी और नेताओं में कोई भी फ़र्क़ नहीं है .


अगर ये ही इनकी सोच  है तो फिर अमेरिका ने जो किआ एकदम ठीक किया, क्योंकि उस हिसाब से तो इस्लाम जगत का सबसे बड़ा नेता ओसामा बिन लादेन ही हो सकता है . मैं ऐसे लोगो से पूछता हूँ की क्या ये लोग कभी इंसानियत को ज़रा भी समझ पाए हैं , और कुरान की अपने फायदे के हिसाब से व्याख्या करने  वाले लोग कभी मुसलमान हो सकते हैं ???
शायद स्टेफन हॉकिंग्स ने सही कहा है की हमारी धरती का अस्तित्व खतरे में हैं. जिसकी वजह धरती पर बढ़ती भीड़ और नफरत होगी .
आज नहीं तो कल वो दिन आ ही जाएगा जब ये लोग सारी धरती पर हुकूमत करेंगे .
क्योंकि ये ही ये करते आये हैं और उस धरती पर किसी भी इंसान के लिए कोई जगह नहीं होगी, जगह होगी तो सिर्फ नफरत को और हिंसावादी  मज़हबी ताक़तों की .
सच में ,मैं तो ये सोच के भी काँप जाता हूँ की वो समय कैसा होगा जब सब लोग फिर से उन्ही तालिबानी लोगो के गुलाम बन जाएंगे .
यदि इससे बचना है तो फिर गुरु अरविन्द के अनुसार इस्लाम में व्याप्त कट्टरता को समाप्त  होना होगा.
आज कश्मीर  में जो नौजवान भटक रहे हैं वो उनसे ज्यादा उन लोगो की गलती है जो उनके दिमाग में मज़हब का ज़हर बचपन से घोलना शुरू कर देते हैं . जिस उम्र में विकसित देशो के नौजवान फेसबुक और एप्पल जैसी कम्पनीज बनाने के बारे में सीख रहे होते हैं उस उम्र में जिहाद के नाम पर भटके नौजवान बम बनना सीख रहे होते हैं .
आप खुद ही सोचो क्या ये हमारे देश का भविष्य है ???
